The outside of the Chapel

The Chapel Design Having seen the inside, picture how it creates the shape of the outer building. Remember that the Chapel is an "Octagon inside a Square?" With a little imagination the external square can be seen enclosing the eight-sided shape of the inner walls. The smaller windows flanking the three panel doorway are those of two of the four chapels in the corners of the building. Note also two of the four round windows (the sky circles of light and praise) as well as the cupola windows which produce the beautiful illumination from the sun in the crown of the ceiling.
