The Chapel Walk and the Gardens
This window looks out on the
gardens to the east through a sand blasted door. They continue
the design of the lines of the painted branches with soft, misty
sand blasting, and lattice pattern, and cross. One of my first
ideas for the chapel was that it would be like a medieval cloister
garden. The lattice on the door is like a trellis, the emblem
on the east wall includes a butterfly, symbol of the Resurrection.

Another dimension of the Chapel Walk
Thus it becomes a place where the sisters and members of the universal congregation come together in spirit for prayer, for thanks and to honor our Lord with one voice. For additional information on placing a brick in the walkway, click HERE |
